UNITED WAY OF PUERTO RICO WILL EXCHANGE INCANDESCENT BULBS FOR LED BULBS IN VARIOUS MUNICIPALITIES<\/b><\/p>\n

In order to decrease electricity consumption to save money and maximize financial stability in our community, United Way of Puerto Rico organized the\u00a0Illuminating Puerto Rico<\/strong>\u00a0initiative with which 45,000 LED bulbs will be distributed. The quantity of light bulbs to be exchanged will be recycled.<\/p>\n

The municipalities that will participate in this effort on Saturdays October 12 and 19 will be: Humacao, Cata\u00f1o, Mayag\u00fcez, Ponce, Vega Alta and two stations in San Juan.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Each family that attends the activity will receive free of charge six LED bulbs in exchange for six incandescent bulbs of those currently used in their homes.<\/p>\n

The distribution effort projects to impact 8,000 families. United Way PR will educate people on the benefits of changing incandescent bulbs. The itinerary for the light bulb exchange process is as follows:<\/p>\n
